Last year for xmas, Steve wanted to get me outdoor furniture. Unfortunately we waited a little too long, and were unable to find anything. Fast-forward almost a year, and look at what we just got…
After almost 3 months of traveling, I am finally back in La Serena. I got back Tuesday, and am now ready to start updating the blog, so sit down relax, and enjoy seeing the pics form our 3 month vacation.
I’m sorry that I haven’t been blogging lately, but that is about to change. I have come out of my early retirement in honor of Cara’s 28th birthday today!!! I get to see her in 2 weeks, and we’ll celebrate properly then. Happy birthday Cara, I hope you have a great day!!!! I also wanted to let everyone know that we will be leaving for our trip today, and I plan to start updating the blog again. Hopefully the next post will be from London!!!
Happy Birthday Cara!!! Love you and miss you!!!!!
We haven’t been able to get our pictures working yet, so I apologize for no pic. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, and we can’t wait to see you in OCtober! Happy birthday, bro!!!!!!!!
I can’t believe you guys are already 2!!! Sorry to miss another birthday, though I’ll see you both in October!! Sorry I don’t have any pictures to post of you, the only ones I have are from when you were tiny babies!!! Hope you had fun at your party!
As you can see, still the same clear beautiful skies, almost as warm, except the grape vines have all died and he Andes now are snow capped.
Get a foreign drivers license. As we have now been here for a year, our international drivers licenses have expired, so we spent the end of the week at the chilean DMV. We didn’t have to take a driving test, but we did have to take a reflex test and an eye test. In the end, everything went well, though the lighting at the DMV picture taking place is for chileans, and Steve and I ended up looking like tomatoes in our pictures, oh well.
Though we are not avid soccer fans by any means, Steve and I have watched almost every World Cup game this year. I actually ended up enjoying it more than I thought, though part of that may have been in-part due to the fact that at the end of the games the soccer players take their shirts off, and also I love hearing the chilean announcer yell GGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL for about 10 minutes. Today, while I was rooting for Francia, and Steve was rooting for Italia, Leyna was busy rooting for Alemania. We didn’t have the heart to tell her that they ended up in third place.
Today, i went with my friends Joanna and Jenny to this little food stand outside of El Faro- the lighthouse. Much to my surprise they were selling falafel, which ended up being TASTY!!! It only cost a little under 3 dollars for the sandwich, and it was wonderful. We sat on stools around the booth, ate our sandwiches and watched the waves. I think it’s my new favorite lunch place. Cara and Joel will be coming to visit in a few weeks, and I can’t wait to take them here. Happy days!!!
